About your Role: The Independent Living Program (ILP) helps youth, who are, or were, in foster care gain the knowledge, skills, and ability to become self-sufficient adults. It gives young people the opportunity to learn the skills they need to make a successful transition from state or tribal custody to living on their own. The Independent Living Coordinator (ILC) provides support in developing educational and employment skills, health education and access, life skills, healthy and supportive relationships, transportation, and housing needs.

Does the following apply to you?

  • Applicant must be 23 years old or older.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of education, preferably in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or Social Sciences, AND/OR;
    • (3) years of experience in youth services in an organization, preferably in social services or education AND/OR;
    • Any combination of education and experience, identified above, totaling (3) years.
  • Must reside in Portland Metro Area
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver license, acceptable driving record, auto insurance
