We are seeking an experienced and reliable Veterinary Technician committed to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. The successful candidate will use their superior medical knowledge and judgment combined with a high level of empathy and humility work with our amazing clients and heal animals.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will work in a fast paced environment and be expected to possess a strong veterinary skill set. Essential duties include familiarity with patient anesthesia, drug dosage calculation and administration, laboratory diagnostics, and management of critically ill patients. Strong communication skills and compassion are two imperative requirements!

Job Requirements:

· LVT in the state of New York 

· Giving injections (IV, IM, SQ), inducing anesthesia, intubation and monitoring anesthesia, administering IV catheters.

· Performing venipunctures using patients’ cephalic, saphenous, in a manner that minimizes trauma to patients and injury to veins

· Properly calculating medication dosages and volumes of liquids or tablets to be administered to patients

· Dentistry: including digital x-rays, prophylaxis and polishing

· Monitoring patients’ recoveries

· Performing basic emergency care, CPR, and intensive care as needed

· Maintains knowledge of the hospital’s programs, products, and services

· Consulting with veterinarians on a daily basis keeping them apprised of potential problems, discussions with clients, and other situations as necessary.

· Positioning patients to obtain diagnostic-quality radiographs of skeletal anatomy, internal organs, superficial lesions, or extremities
