ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Pasadena is seeking a Veterinary Technician Trainer to join our growing team!

Job Purpose:
- Responsible for training a technical staff in a single hospital location that adheres to the principles of Quality, Integrity, Compassion, and Service
- Responsible for the academic and practical training of the technical staff
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports current training objectives and organization, while creating and supplementing
additional technical training coursework as necessary - Scheduling and organizing all technical training meetings, classes, and practical coursework
- Write outlines, texts, handouts, tests, and practical exercises as needed for all technical training
- Administer written and practical exams for technical training, and work with department leads to provide updates on technical performance for review purposes
- Assist in interviews and skill assessments for all potential technical staff new hires, at the request of the Hospital Administrator or Department Leads
- Assist in the arrangement and provision of technical training for all pertinent staff through multiple forums / modalities / times to maximize exposure to 24-hour staff
- Assist in technical staff reviews in a skill / technical assessment capacity to ensure staff members are provided clear expectations and understand how they perform compared to those expectations
- Responsible for initiation of new technical employees into home hospital
- Responsible for upholding the spirit of ACCESS by handling all necessary tasks that require attention
Qualifications:
- The Technician Trainer should possess an RVT and 3+ years of technical experience in a large hospital setting
- Proven experience in teaching or training within a veterinary setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, including clinical procedures, animal handling, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and mentorship
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation: $33 - $40/ hour, dependent upon experience and skills assessment.
