 South Maui Animal Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Technician tto join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community        

        

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.        

Role Responsibilities: 
       

  • Animal Handling
  • Pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Creating and presenting financial options and estimates
  • Accurately entering service charges into client processing database
  • Extensive client interaction and education
  • Preparing medications
  • Taking X-Rays of animals
  • Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by our in-house veterinarians.
  • Drawing blood samples for testing

Experience and Skills Requirements:        

  • At least one year of veterinary experience 
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology
  • Team Player
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • A commitment to outstanding client service
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

Compensation- $23-$25/hour for non credentialed technicians and RVT $26-$30/hour- based on experience.
