Offshore Animal Hospital on the beautiful Island of Nantucket, Massachusetts, seeks a full-time Veterinary Medical Director. If you are a veterinarian looking to practice medicine and lead a fantastic team of highly trained professionals on a beautiful island, look no further!

Offshore Animal Hospital is a general medicine practice that primarily sees cats and dogs with a small caseload of exotics, wildlife, and large animals. Our focus is on preventive medicine, surgery, and dentistry. We offer a friendly, supportive atmosphere where you will work alongside other dedicated professionals. As the only veterinary practice on Nantucket, we also provide house calls and see emergency cases.  
 
Our fully equipped facility offers boarding, doggie daycare, grooming, wellness visits, internal medicine, acupuncture, surgical and dental services by appointment and on an emergency basis. 
 
Enjoy the island life with inspirational landscapes, copious walking/biking trails, and some of the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast.  We have many water activities, including scalloping, fishing, surfing, boating, and kite surfing. 
 
Who we are looking for: 
  • Full-time Veterinary Medical Director
  • A strong leader who wants to build a great medical team.  
  • Three years of veterinary practice experience 
  • Licensed in Massachusetts or able to obtain a Massachusetts license
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral
    communication skills. 
  • Sound medical reasoning skills and strong medical ethics
