Eye Care For Animals is excited to open a new full-time clinic in New York City in the Upper East Side. Practice hours and shifts will vary from Monday through Friday. Specific hours are to be determined. We practice in our midtown location on Wednesdays and shifts will be worked here as well. 
Our ideal candidate is someone who likes to work hard and strives to provide excellent customer service. Other qualifications include:   
  •  Veterinary Technician license required
  •  Previous anesthesia and emergency experience preferred
  •  Proficient in IV catheters placement, blood work, and IV, IM and SQ injections
  •  Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and working with various monitoring equipment
  •  Will remain flexible and adaptable
  •  Eager to learn and is self-motivated
  •  Enjoys a challenging and fast-paced environment
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The Practice Leader (PL) is critical to the success of the hospital, ensuring a positive culture built on shared values and direct communication, creating operational efficiencies, and problem-solving to improve client service and employee engagement. This position is 70% Veterinary Technician and 30% Practice Leader. Typically, the PL is the “Integrator” on the hospital’s accountability chart and participates in the Pathway Planning leadership meetings. The manager exercises sound judgment, and the willingness and capability to make decisions. 
PL oversees the business activities of the hospital, including hiring and training hospital staff; working with Eye Care for Animals Leadership team to prepare and manage budgets; monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators; maintaining inventory and an inventory control system, and implementing safety and security procedures. 
Job Overview:   
The Veterinary Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice.  Tasks include animal handling, pre, and post-operative patient care, creating and presenting financial options and estimates, accurately entering service charges into the client processing database, extensive client interaction, and preparing medications.  Hours typically vary and may include after-hours responsibilities.  Compensation is based on experience and skill set. 

Compensation: Negotiable based on credentials and experience with the starting rate ranging from $30-39/hr. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
