Dermatology for Animals is looking for a Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team at our Gilbert, AZ location.

The Lead Veterinary Technician role is essential in caring for our patients and clients. The Technician Team Leader trains, supervises and assists technicians to plan, coordinate and perform a variety of duties concerned with animal health and client education and to promote greater efficiency by relieving veterinarians of technical work and administrative detail at Dermatology for Animals. This position also encompasses all the duties of the veterinary technicians.

Qualifications and skills:
· At least 3 year experience as a Veterinary Technician
· Excellent communication skills
· Team player/plays well with other team members
· Positive attitude
· Enhancing reputation of the practice through client interactions and client education
· Accepting ownership for success /self-motivated
· Excellent Organizational skills
· Basic computer knowledge
· Good technician skills, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, specimen preparation, safe restraint of cats and dogs
· Experience monitoring sedation/anesthesia
  • Work well with all Team Members and ensure that your actions support the hospital, Doctors and Leadership 
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. 
  • Monitoring  and assessing performance of yourself, other individuals or the practice to make improvements or take corrective actions
  • Teaching other how to perform a task
  • Actively looking for ways to help others
  • Being aware of others' reactions and understanding
