Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle has an amazing opportunity for a Hospital Attendant!

Position Overview
Assists hospital staff by providing direct care and maintenance of the treatment areas and the facility. Our Hospital Attendants work alongside our Kennel Assistants or Animal Care Assistants (ACAs) and are essential in helping with the daily flow of our busy Emergency & Specialty Hospital. They are relied on for many things, including hospital maintenance and daily upkeep of patient areas. As a Hospital Attendant, you will focus more on the cleanliness of the hospital in day-to-day tasks.
 
Primary Responsibilities
Housekeeping and Maintenance of Hospital: 
  • Regular laundry duties, ensuring the hospital has adequate supplies needed for patient care.
  • Keep the exterior of the hospital clean and orderly and free of pet waste, including outside trash.
  • Partners with Facilities to best provide janitorial care for the hospital.
  • Restocking for ER/Specialty departments, along with janitorial stocking.
  • Appropriately communicate any unsafe conditions including unrecognized hazards or infractions of safety rules.
  • AD HOC duties as required, including general facilities projects.
Additional Duties:  
  • May be asked to assist in regular ACA duties as needed, including stocking the department. 
  • Inventory stocking and counting
  • Janitorial maintenance of all bathrooms
  • Vacuum and Mop areas within the hospital when necessary
