We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team and help us provide exceptional care to pets and their families.
Who We Are
Hometown Veterinary Hospital is a four-doctor practice providing both primary and urgent care for dogs and cats in southwest Missouri. Here, you’ll experience the warmth and connection of a small clinic while benefiting from the support and resources of Thrive Pet Healthcare’s nationwide network of over 400 hospitals.

What You’ll Do
As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a vital role in patient care and client communication. Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling and safely restraining animals during exams and procedures
- Collecting samples, drawing blood, and administering injections
- Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
- Performing diagnostic tests, radiographs, and record-keeping
- Monitor and care for animals before and after surgery
- Providing client education and support with compassion and clarity
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment
- Supporting and mentoring teammates to foster a positive, collaborative culture
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Follow protocols and procedures with consistency and fairness
- Demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all interactions
What We’re Looking For
- RVT preferred; or minimum 2 years of veterinary experience with growing responsibility
- Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently when needed
- Compassion and empathy for both pets and people
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- A willingness to support, mentor, and grow with your team
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting
- Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth

- Compensation-$16–20+/hr (based on credentials and experience)
- 4-day work week, no weekends
