Who we are 
Redmond-Kirkland Animal Hospital opened in June of 2010 and provides quality veterinary care for your pets through a combination of state of the art diagnostics, and a veterinary staff that is professional and committed to the highest medical standards. We are currently expanding our clinic to include a brand-new urgent care facility and are looking for exceptional individuals to join our team. Our vet practice includes dogs and cats.

Redmond-Kirkland Animal Hospital is looking for Veterinary Assistants to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.  
As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an important role in pets lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients. 
Role Responsibilities: 
  • Venipuncture Catheter placement, Lab sample collection,  Admitting and discharging patients,  Monitoring hospitalized patients, Dispensing medications as directed by veterinarians, Assisting doctors in exam rooms, Assisting with surgical procedures, Client communications.
Experience & Skills Requirements:  
· Must have Washington State Medical Clerk’s license or be eligible
· Has strong client service skills
· Is proficient with animal handling & restraint
· Has a positive "can do" attitude
· Is able to work well on a team and is self-directed
· Is compassionate, motivated and dedicated
· Has strong problem-solving abilities (judgment, logic, creativity, conflict resolution).
· Has at least one year of experience as a veterinary assistant preferred, but not required

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $18 -$21/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
