The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator will be responsible for analyzing data related to the US veterinary industry and translating that data into opportunities for improved delivery of care, cost reduction, increased revenue, and to drive operational efficiencies. This position will help develop plans for achieving various department KPIs and is tasked with leading efforts to drive profitability through efficient utilization of products, equipment, and services. The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator will also be responsible for administration, review, and coordination of contractual matters involving internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and business partners. The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator will perform a range of contract related duties including negotiating contract terms, drafting and editing contracts, and evaluating proposals. The position will promote synergy among all stakeholders of the global supply chain, including Legal, Support Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Medical Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Devises plans and develops, maintains and improves upon best in class performance in forecasting, inventory management, and service levels
  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings for supplies and services
  • Delivers analyses and data on supply chain performance and prepares monthly and quarterly reports for key stakeholders
  • Assists with the review and negotiation of contracts, amendments, and related documents for all departments
  • Works independently to modify, update, and maintain contracts and associated documentation while communicating changes to appropriate parties as needed
  • Performs diligence and contract review in support of M&A and Business Development
  • Supports the development and implementation of internal policies, guidelines, and processes for contract management
  • Fields inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors regarding contracting policies, procedures, and contract status
  • Serves as backup to other functions of the Purchasing team as needed including input of customer requisitions, inventory management, creation of purchase orders, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in an analytical role in business management, supply chain, or similar field. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain, inventory, warehousing, transport, logistics, ERP and/or MRP
  • Experience developing, writing, revising, preparing and negotiating contracts, amendments, and other related documents
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel (query writing, macros) and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to synthesize data and information from multiple sources to develop fact-based analyses and recommendations related to new product/service utilization, product/service portfolio analysis, profitability of new opportunities, capital investments, revenue models, and profit margin analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively collaborate across departments to make decisions, achieve goals, and effect change 
  • MBA or other relevant, advanced degree
  • Veterinary industry experience specifically in supply chain operations and/or clinic operations
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations; including inventory management, forecasting, and demand planning
