Animal Clinic of Los Alamos is looking for a full-time Medical Director that can join our team and help us grow as well as have some fun in the process. We are in the midst of beautiful canyons and mesas “where discoveries are made”. Our climate and geography make us the perfect area for outdoor activities.   
Our hospital has been in the community since 1980 and has grown from a house call practice to a state-of-the-art facility. Our hospital has: 
·        Digital Radiology
·        Dental Digital radiology and Dental equipment
·        Ultrasound
·        In-house CBC and Blood Chemistry analyzer
·        Surgery Suite
·        Isolation
·        Anesthetic Monitoring Equipment
·        In House Pharmacy
·        Paperless environment
·        Laser Therapy 
·        Boarding facility  
·        Radiologist services for ultrasound 
Provide your best care as a Thrive Pet Healthcare veterinarian.  
  
As Medical Director, you’ll have the guidance and resources to excel as a leader. This includes access to a Medical Initiatives Committee and Thrive Certified Leader Curriculum to become stronger and more equipped to develop your practice.

Who we are looking for 
·        A strong leader who wants to build a great medical team.  
·        3 or more years of experience as a veterinarian. 
·        Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills. 
·        Sound medical reasoning skills and strong medical ethics. 
  
  Experience & Skills Requirements 
·        Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required. 
·        State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date. 
·        Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
