** This position will ideally be based in Austin, TX out of our headquarters office and be hybrid in office 2-days a week. Candidates based in other geographies across the U.S. will also be considered for a remote role. **

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Software Sales Rep is responsible for building key customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, negotiating, and closing Vetspire sales deals for independent sales opportunities.


The Software Sales Rep will operate persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to choose Vetspire. The Sales rep will qualify, contact, and convert prospects (inbound sales inquiries and proactively through outbound sales and calls) and work closely with Vetspire’s sales team to drive potential client acquisitions. The sales role will also use other channels like cross-selling through other B2B business units and networking as well as potentially cold calling and strategic partnerships.

In addition, the Sales Rep will need to be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing thought leadership and acting as the lead facilitator/collaborator. This Sales Rep will interacts with all Vetspire leadership teams to coordinate new customer acquisitions and new customer software implementations. We expect the Sales rep to learn the Vetspire platform (All aspects of the platform and how it can be used by potential clients), perform software demos and coordinate with contracts, finance (Billing) and implementation teams.

  • You are experienced in forecasting sales targets and ensuring they are met
  • You know how to present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services and sales channels
  • You will have monthly meetings with senior level management and report out on sales targets and metrics
  • You will work with marketing staff to ensure that they are targeting quality prospects
  • You understand the importance of getting on the right vendor lists
  • You will make it your lasting mission to ensure all team members represent the company in the best light
  • You will research and develop a thorough understanding of VetSpire’s capabilities and tone of voice 
Innovation & Strategy
  • Provide thought leadership to product development and operational excellence for Pathway deployments
  • Effective communication of Operation’s directions, capabilities, initiatives, and innovations to the other members of the leadership team
  • Provide guidance on new processes, approaches, methods, and features
  • Assist in the development of business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for initiatives
Budget/Financial P&L / Contractual negotiation responsibilities 
  • Be involved in or coordinate discussions/negotiations with third party suppliers as dictated by deliverable requirements
  • Assist with developing yearly budgets/sales targets within the Operations department
  • Aid in the development of productivity measures and costing strategies
  • Be involved in or co-ordinate discussions/negotiations with third party suppliers as dictated by deliverable requirements
