Veterinary Dermatologist
Description
Dermatology for Animals (D4A) is seeking a Veterinary Dermatologist or Residency-Trained Veterinarian to join our Tucson team! This clinic is part of our network of 24 D4A locations across the U.S.—a community built by dermatologists, for dermatologists.
Why Dermatology for Animals?
Founded in 1991 by a board-certified veterinary dermatologist, D4A has grown organically by hiring and training dermatologists through our highly respected residency program. Our culture is rooted in people and relationships: we believe that by growing together—personally and professionally—we build stronger, happier, more sustainable teams. This is why our recruitment and retention rates are among the best in the industry.
Though we are now proudly partnered with Thrive Pet Healthcare, D4A continues to be led by the same group of dermatologists and long-standing operations team. That means important decisions are made by dermatologists who understand your work. With Thrive’s support, we can offer expanded benefits and resources—truly the best of both worlds.

Why You’ll Love Tucson
Tucson, known as The Old Pueblo, is a city where wide-open Sonoran Desert landscapes meet deep cultural roots and delicious innovation. Recognized in 2015 as the first UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in the U.S., Tucson's food scene traces its heritage from Indigenous, Spanish, Mexican, and Anglo influences—featuring saguaro‑fruit syrup, tepary beans, prickly pear treats, and the iconic Sonoran hot dog.
This city basks in 350 days of sunshine annually, making it one of the sunniest places in America. Tucson’s stories span millennia: archaeological evidence shows continuous human settlement dating back over 4,000 years, long before the founding of the U.S.—all centered around the life-giving Santa Cruz River.
Nature lovers rejoice here—Tucson’s backyard includes the Arizona‑Sonora Desert Museum, a world-class combination of zoo, botanical garden, and cultural exhibit offering immersive desert exploration. Or stroll through the Tucson Botanical Gardens, recently ranked among the top botanical gardens in the U.S., with serene desert-themed landscapes and a tropical butterfly pavilion.
With its engaging blend of ancient heritage, culinary distinction, outdoor wonder, and endless sunshine, Tucson offers a lifestyle as rich, warm, and inviting as the community and care you’ll deliver here.
