Role Responsibilities: 
 
Dentistry & oral surgery veterinary technicians perform a variety of animal health duties and ensure quality pet and client care. The dentistry technician should be proficient in client communication and patient care duties including but not limited to animal handling, venipuncture, medical math, pre- and post-operative care, anesthesia monitoring, dental radiographs, and professional dental cleaning including ultrasonic scaling, polishing, and use of hand instruments for subgingival scaling and perioceutic application. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of dental, surgical, imaging and laboratory techniques, and remain calm during stressful situations.  An interest in gaining further knowledge and training to assist with specialized dental therapies such as endodontics, orthodontics, and advanced oral surgical procedures, is a must!

Job Requirements:            
      
  • 3+ years recent veterinary technician/veterinary assistant experience required      
  • 2+ years anesthesia experience required      
  • LVT or VTS  preferred      
  • High school diploma or GED
