Pet Emergency and Specialty – East County is looking for an Experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You
As a veterinary client service representative, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. In this role, you are an ambassador to our clients and your main focus is to ensure that our client’s needs are met in a timely manner while demonstrating a sincere compassion for our clients and patients. You are the liaison between the client and the medical staff and are responsible for maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow between the front office and the technical staff. You will be performing public relations and clerical responsibilities and must be detail-oriented and work well under pressure.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- 1-2 years of veterinary clinical/hospital experience required
- Veterinary Emergency or Urgent Care experience highly preferred
- Ability to work OVERNIGHTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EzyVet Experience preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Greet clients and their pets with prompt professionalism and courtesy
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Admit incoming patients, discharge outgoing patients
- Enter/Update Client information into the Practice Management System
- Accurately process payments
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management team

Pet Emergency and Specialty Center – East County is a large multispecialty and emergency veterinary hospital located in La Mesa focusing on providing exemplary specialty and emergency care to our community.
We are open 24/7.
Serving La Mesa, El Cajon, Spring Valley, and San Diego.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $21.25-$25.25/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This pay rate includes shift differential pay.
