The Cardiology Department at ACCESS Pasadena is looking for experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our pack!

**RVT SIGN ON BONUS - $3,000**
**VET TECH SIGN ON BONUS - $1,500**

Pay: $20.00- $26.00/hour ( Dependent on skills assessment ).

Experience: 2 years Veterinary Technician experience.

Our Cardiology Technicians are comfortable communicating with clients and act as a point of liaison between clients and internal hospital staff. They possess a complete understanding of all knowledge required for, and skill set of, an experienced veterinary technician. Expertise may include:

  • Restraining for echocardiograms
  • Obtaining histories and client interviews
  • Demonstrate the comprehension and treatment of hypercapnia, hypocapnia, hypertension, hypotension, bradycardia, tachycardia
  • Understand and interpret ECG parameters and common abnormalities
  • Assist with and perform basic and advanced CPR
  • Appropriately calculate and set up continuous rate infusions
  • Set up for Thoracentesis and assist with procedure
  • Surgically prepare patients for minor surgery including proper clipping, prep and positioning
  • Anesthesia for interventional procedures
  • Assisting with interventional procedures (fluoroscopy, OR assistance)
  • Understand and identify bradycardic and tachycardic arrhythmias
