Join Our Team as an Equine Veterinary Assistant!
Location: Midwest Veterinary Dental Services, Elkhorn, WI
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM (with occasional weekend hours)

Midwest Veterinary Dental Services is seeking a dedicated Equine Veterinary Clinical Aide/Assistant to join our supportive and skilled team. What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Client and Patient Support:
    • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and triage
    • Provide professional client communication and education
    • Handle financial transactions and maintain accurate patient records
  • Patient Care and Husbandry:
    • Perform basic grooming, administer oral medications, and assist with IV fluids
    • Monitor patient comfort and provide necessary care, including feeding and bandaging
  • Clinical and Surgical Assistance:
    • Support veterinarians during procedures and surgeries
    • Maintain surgical packs and assist with post-operative care
  • Laboratory and Pharmacy Tasks:
    • Collect and prepare lab samples
    • Dispense and administer medications following veterinary instructions
  • Facility Maintenance:
    • Keep clinic and equipment clean and organized
What We’re Looking For:
  • Enthusiasm for equine care and a willingness to learn about equine dentistry
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and client service
  • Ability to handle and restrain equine patients safely and compassionately
  • Attention to detail and professionalism in all aspects of the role
  • Prior experience with horses is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person!
