POSITION SUMMARY 

  • Responsible for working with Pathway’s Infrastructure, Integration, Support, and project teams to lead, document and maintain specific SDLC phase gate documentation templates, RACI-SV matrices, and Project Role Definitions.
  • Responsible for partnering with IT Functional Stream Leads, Program Managers, Project Managers, and project team members during the planning phase of a project to identify the appropriate approach and documentation artifacts required in each phase of the project.
  • Responsible for leading the phase gate reviews with the project & program leadership as each project phase approaches completion.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the project repository and content; ensuring that project management processes are current and accessible by project team members and stakeholders.
  • Leads the efforts to create, tailor, and collect key performance indicators for use in project performance scorecard(s).
  • Creates proposals for process improvements that address inefficiencies that are identified during the project performance analysis.
  • Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in both IT and Software Development process design while being equally proficient mentoring less experienced technical project team members.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Maintains positive inter-company and inter-department business relationships that fosters high levels of quality, timeliness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Interfaces with IT program and project leadership teams to promote a governance standard and assist in defining project documentation and tools to deliver quality project outcomes.
  • Interfaces with the Pathway Change & Release Management team to ensure alignment of process and phase gate standards.
  • Collaborates with internal and external IT project team members.
  • Works under the direction of the Director of PMO
  • Drives tasks to completion with little or no assistance from managers or team leads.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Responsible for managing the internal/external project team member relationships, which may be local or remote, based on the needs of the project
  • Responsible for providing leadership to project team members, while establishing and maintaining high standards for professionalism and quality.
  • Responsible for successfully engaging in multiple enterprise scale initiatives simultaneously.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining a project culture of solution identifiers, especially when evaluating risks, and issues.  Mitigation options must accompany identified issues or risks.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Communicates and collaborates with IT project team members to identify the minimum IT Governance requirements that are necessary to achieve the outcomes of the given project.
  • Identifies options and builds action plans to address gaps, issues, risks, and/or inefficiencies that are identified over the lifecycle of the project.
  • Conducts phase gate reviews with the project team’s leadership to ensure all documentation and processes have been followed in compliance with Pathway’s Project Management standards.
  • Maintains and tailors Pathway’s templates to promote their relevance for the project; taking into consideration the system, infrastructure, integration platform, size, complexity, and organizational risk.
  • Maintains the project repository/portal, ensuring project team members have consistent and easy access to all supporting/reference documentation that they require.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a related study.
  • Has 5+ years of full lifecycle project management experience in Application Development, Infrastructure Implementations, or IT process optimization initiatives
  • 10+ years of applicable work experience without the bachelor’s degree.
  • Professional certification in area of expertise, including: PMP and/or Scrum certification is preferred
  • Proficient in both Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall system development lifecycle methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with Jira Software is ideal
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholder groups that include: C-Suite executives, Business Relationship Managers, and subject matter experts
  • Strong analytical and process design skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to anticipate and interpret customer needs.
  • Willingness to travel domestic up to 25%
