The Job at a Glance

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Team Lead of Accounts Payable Analysts to join our dynamic Finance team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and resolving payment blocks related to pricing and quantity discrepancies, managing vendor relationships to resolve payment issues. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is proficient in Microsoft Excel!

 

A Typical Day

  • Analyze and assign payment block reports amongst the team.
  • Investigate and resolve payment blocks due to pricing and quantity discrepancies on purchase orders and invoices.
  • Review vendor statements to identify outstanding invoices and collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships through timely communication (and follow-up to ensure account accuracy and integrity).
  • Reconcile A/P accounts and assist in month-end close activities by ensuring all payments are recorded correctly and outstanding issues are addressed.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report on payment issues, aging reports, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external audit requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Post PO, Receiving, and other internal departments to drive resolution of discrepancies.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

 

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • You have strong knowledge of invoice processing, three-way matching, and vendor management.
  • You have experience handling employee travel & expense reports and customer refund processing.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, including use of VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • You have familiarity with ERP systems (specifically SAP is a plus).
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • You display exceptional conflict resolution skills
  • You have fantastic communication skills & you’re proficient in English (verbal and written).
  • You have a quality, high-speed internet connection at home.

The salary range for this role is $50,906.66 – $68,700.43 annually ($24.47 – $33.03 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role.
