The Job at a Glance

As the Inventory Control Specialist, (Internally known as Keeper of the Stockpile), you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy for all 190,000 + items we hold in stock.  Working on a small, fast-paced inventory control team, you will have the opportunity to work on all inventory positions and gain a deep understanding of the operations of Parts Town.

 

A Typical Day

  • Determine the root cause of recurring shipment and customer issues to continuously improve efficiency 
  • Regularly count physical inventory to resolve discrepancies and confirm accurate quantities in the inventory management system 
  • Utilize reporting to research parts that are missing and correct our inventory 
  • Utilize resources (parts breakdowns, schematics, wiring diagrams, manufacturer contacts) to identify part number information 
  • Handled escalated discrepancies in parts identification from the Receiving team to verify that the correct parts were placed into inventory 
  • Other duties as assigned

    • You are able to work Monday through Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm 
    • You have a passion for customer service and problem-solving (we’ll teach you the rest!) 
    • You demonstrate strong attention to detail, passion for excellence and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
    • You enjoy working in a small team environment 
    • You possess excellent time management and organizational skills 
    • You can easily navigate computer screens 
    • You are a pro with Microsoft Office 
    • You had previous part support experience 
    • You can move around for long periods and lift 30 lbs. unassisted 
    • You have fantastic communication skills & you’re proficient in English (verbal and written)

The salary range for this role is $43,993.80 – $53,720.20 annually ($21.15 – $25.82 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
