The Job at a Glance
As the Inventory Control Specialist, (Internally known as Keeper of the Stockpile), you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy for all 190,000 + items we hold in stock. Working on a small, fast-paced inventory control team, you will have the opportunity to work on all inventory positions and gain a deep understanding of the operations of Parts Town.
A Typical Day
- Determine the root cause of recurring shipment and customer issues to continuously improve efficiency
- Regularly count physical inventory to resolve discrepancies and confirm accurate quantities in the inventory management system
- Utilize reporting to research parts that are missing and correct our inventory
- Utilize resources (parts breakdowns, schematics, wiring diagrams, manufacturer contacts) to identify part number information
- Handled escalated discrepancies in parts identification from the Receiving team to verify that the correct parts were placed into inventory
- Other duties as assigned

- You are able to work Monday through Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
- You have a passion for customer service and problem-solving (we’ll teach you the rest!)
- You demonstrate strong attention to detail, passion for excellence and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You enjoy working in a small team environment
- You possess excellent time management and organizational skills
- You can easily navigate computer screens
- You are a pro with Microsoft Office
- You had previous part support experience
- You can move around for long periods and lift 30 lbs. unassisted
- You have fantastic communication skills & you’re proficient in English (verbal and written)
