The Job at a Glance

The Senior Manager, Customer Partnerships role is a crucial part of our Service team and growth strategy. This role is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Business Development Specialists (PARTnership Builders) to thrive in the industry. This sales leader will secure our future via sustainable and unmatched growth.

 

A Typical Day

  • Coach and mentor team members in the improvement of their skills and the penetration of their respective account bases
  • Drive for and deliver the requisite results (sales, margin dollars, margin %, freight revenue) through a consistent and disciplined approach with dials, talk time, and completion of Sales Force tasks.
  • Be the expert of your team’s business – understand what’s going on with the customers and know where the opportunities are
  • Provide integral support to the forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Collaborate with the Customer Experience, Order Entry, Pricing, Marketing, IT/Technology, Analytics, Operations, Accounting, Manufacturing/Brand functions, and others to ensure the collective team is delivering a world class experience to our customers
  • Be the inspirational leader who models our core values and emboldens our unique culture. 
  • Travel for industry events, customer opportunities, and training/development of your team should be expected quarterly

 

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have 2-5+ years of successful Account Management experience and an in-depth understanding of the consultative selling process – you are a CLOSER, a SALES GURU, and a WINNER!  
  • You have proven yourself to be an effective leader, coach, and mentor of those who fulfill business development roles – you earn the trust and respect of your teammates, and you inspire them to be the best versions of themselves
  • You are a detail-oriented planner who relies on data to facilitate the development of strategies/tactics, annual plans, and key initiatives aligned and synchronized in ways that ensure you deliver on your corporate commitments
  • You are technologically savvy and a quick study with computer-based programs, web and APP based technology, and enterprise systems. Microsoft proficiency is a must; bonus points if you’re comfortable with Salesforce!
  • You are effective in building collaborative and favorable relationships across all functional areas and with all teammates (local or remote).
  • You are comfortable presenting in front of small to medium-sized groups, inclusive of your peers up to the most senior leaders of our organization
  • You can build an environment for your team where everyone recognizes that we win TOGETHER as part of the broader Service and Parts Town teams
  • You have fantastic communication skills & you’re proficient in English (verbal and written)
