The Job at a Glance

Do you thrive on solving problems, building relationships, and keeping things moving? As our International Logistics Coordinator, you'll be at the center of our global logistics operation, coordinating palletized shipments throughout the U.S., Canada, and international destinations. You'll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external logistics partners to ensure products move efficiently, compliantly, and on time. From tracking shipment performance to managing documentation and supporting customer needs, you'll play an important role in delivering a world-class experience and helping our global business grow!

 

A Typical Day

  • Coordinate and oversee the transportation of palletized shipments to the U.S. and international destinations via ocean, air, truck, and rail
  • Collaborate with Import and Export Compliance teams to ensure all shipments comply with applicable international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and transportation requirements
  • Partner with the International Sales team to develop and execute logistics solutions that meet customer requirements while optimizing transportation costs
  • Coordinate with international freight carriers to arrange transportation, obtain competitive rates, and monitor shipment progress through final delivery
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs-related documents
  • Track and monitor shipments, proactively identifying and resolving delays, exceptions, or service disruptions
  • Provide timely shipment updates and exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Review freight invoices for accuracy, assist with freight cost management, and support freight payment and reconciliation processes
  • Coordinate with warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation providers to ensure efficient cargo movement and on-time delivery
  • Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment data, and transportation activities within ERP and logistics management systems
  • Analyze transportation performance and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service levels, and cost savings
  • Assist with carrier performance reviews and support strategic logistics projects as needed.

 

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have  3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination, preferably in an international environment (a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred)
  • You have strong knowledge of import and export procedures, international transportation, customs regulations, and trade compliance requirements.
  • You are a strong collaborator that has experience building relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international carriers.
  • You ae proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel skills preferred)
  • You are exceptionally organized and pay attention to detail
  • You can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • You can work independently and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
  • You have a quality, high speed internet connection at home
  • You’re an all-star communicator and are proficient in English (both written and verbal). If you’re bilingual, that’s a plus!

The salary range for this role is $46,844.62 - $63,218.55 annually ($22.54 - $30.39 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
