The Job at a Glance

Parts Town has just launched a new state-of-the-art distribution center in Litchfield Park, AZ.

Parts Town is looking for Distribution Center Supervisors (Internally known as Captain, OEM Parts Wranglers). As a DC Supervisor, you will be an expert in coaching team members, team building and running operations.  You will supervise a team of Distribution Center Specialists, drive safety initiatives, work to maximize productivity and quality within your team, and assure that all of our outbound and inbound customer orders and vendor POs are processed each day. You will be responsible for ensuring the Distribution Center is well organized, clean and runs efficiently to support daily operations.

A Typical Day

• Be involved in supporting our team members in the Distribution center including job shadowing, attendance tracking, performance documentation and new associate hiring and training
• Communicate and build relationships with team members
• Control and direct the flow of work in your assigned area
• Maintain operational balance and flow through communication, associate movement, and task sharing…being a team player!
• Display innovation by seeking process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies
• Plan and execute the daily 5S housekeeping to assure cleanliness and organization of the work areas
• Ensure that schedules remain updated, and that timecard edits and approvals are completed in a timely manner
• Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members

To Land This Opportunity

• You are passionate about leading and developing a team to perform at the highest potential.
• You possess the ability to move around for long periods of time and consistently lift up to 30lbs unassisted.

• You love individual projects, but you can also thrive working with large groups of other team members
• You are looking to work Monday through Friday 9:30am-6:00pm and are able to work Saturdays when needed.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you will transport parts via carts and/or forklifts and frequently retrieve parts from top and bottom shelves, utilizing ladders or reach trucks as needed.
• You’re an all-star communicator and are fluent in English (both written and verbal)
• If you have previous distribution center leadership experience it’s a plus, but not required.
• You enjoy leading teams, building relationships, and making things better
