The Job at a Glance

As the Third-Party Marketplace Account Manager, you will lead the development and execution of strategies to maximize our company’s sales performance on external marketplaces. You will use your deep understanding of marketplace ecosystems to drive revenue through traffic and conversion optimization, managing product listings including pricing and inventory, optimizing digital content like product descriptions and images, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. 

 

A Typical Day

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and changes within the various existing and potential marketplaces to identify new opportunities and challenges
  • Drive initiatives to enhance brand visibility, awareness on the marketplace platforms
  • Create and implement platform performance marketing strategies to drive revenue growth, including paid traffic, sponsored ads, etc
  • Key contact for external marketplace partners and service providers (including Channel Advisor) with responsibility to conduct frequent business reviews to continually improve Parts Town’s business performance and grow partner relationships and visibility
  • Subject-area expert for third-party marketplaces, particularly for interactions and collaboration with the rest of the business
  • Manage thousands of product listings, ensuring compelling content, high-quality product presentation, and effective use of keywords
  • Optimize product pages to improve search rankings, conversion rates, and overall performance.
  • Responsible for price optimizations, inventory balancing of supply and demand, and observing competitive behavior in buy boxes.
  • Analyze retail metrics (sales, margin, traffic, conversion rate, market share, etc.) to assess results and identify opportunities within the channel to improve performance, including optimizing listing content and negotiating to drive down marketplace fees.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, data and analytics, finance, and customer service to ensure efficient use of reporting and tools.  Specifically, high degree of partnership with Amazon 1P manager to ensure coordinated efforts across the total channel and balancing business results.

 

To Land This Opportunity

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • You have 4+ years of experience with Amazon Seller Central and 2+ years with Amazon Vendor Central
  • You have a strong understanding of third-party marketplaces such as Amazon 3P, eBay, and Walmart.com, the competitive landscape, and how to operate within marketplace norms
  • You obtain strong analytical skills - ability to dig through data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • You are a self-starter, commercially-driven individual highly focused on driving results and can solve complex problems without extensive oversight
  • You obtain excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high level of organization, and strong attention to detail
  • You have a understanding of confidentiality to contacts throughout marketplaces, vendors, and other external parties
