JANITORIAL & CLEAN ROOM TECHNICIAN (CONTRACT/ONSITE)

POSITION SUMMARY  
The Janitorial & Clean Room Technician is responsible for performing all routine and specialized cleaning and sanitizing of our biopharmaceutical manufacturing areas in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (“GMP”) and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”). The Technicians are also responsible for keeping our general office, break, and restroom areas clean and orderly. 
  • Shift: Monday through Friday - 4:00 pm - 12:00 am
  • Compensation: $41,600 – $52,000 (DOE) + intermittent overtime
  • Sick pay (per Washington State laws) and up to 14 paid holidays over the course of a year included

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Ensures that the facility is cleaned per SOP and GMP requirements and are inspection-ready at all times.
  • Ensures cleaning is done on time on a daily basis and that Plant startup deadlines are met per the established schedule.
  • Performs some services in areas where cleanroom gowning is required.
  • Completes and maintains daily site sanitation documentation.
  • Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions or equipment to Supervisor. 
  • Responsible for ensuring cleaning supplies are stocked and available. 
  • Scans cleaning log into the online department file location.
  • Completes all GMP training by established deadlines. 
  • Adheres to all applicable regulations and requirements including compliance with internal SOPs, GMP, Health and Safety, WISHA/OSHA, regulatory compliance, company policies, and employment-related laws and statutes.
  • Successfully completes all mandatory Quality and Compliance training within required timeframes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES  
Required: 
  • Able to perform physical work on a nightly basis including sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning, and
  • trash removal in laboratory, warehouse, administrative, and cleanroom manufacturing spaces.
  • Excellent soft skills including a bias towards action, the ability and willingness to give and receive constructive feedback, is comfortable working within a diverse team and across multiple functions, exhibits a consistently constructive attitude, and is adaptable and at ease with handling unexpected changes and challenges.
  • Solid English language communication skills, both oral and written, are required for this highly collaborative role. Willingness and ability to clearly express opinions and ask questions.  Comfortable actively participating in cross-functional meetings.
  • Possesses the willingness and ability to provide verbal explanations of cleaning procedures to internal auditors if required.
  • Computer experience including basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook email. ability and willingness to quickly adopt other job-specific applications will be necessary.
Preferred: 
  • Working knowledge of GMP facilities compliance standards preferred
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION  
Required: 
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a janitorial position or similar situation required.
Preferred: 
  • Experience working in a regulated environment where gowning is required is strongly preferred.
This is a temporary, full-time position with an initial term of 6 months.  Depending on your performance and our business needs, the position may convert to a regular, full-time position as an employee of Partner Therapeutics.
