Senior Revenue and Gross-to-Net Analyst
Job Summary - a concise overview of the job
The Sr. Analyst, GTN and Revenue Control is responsible for assisting in the accounting for sales allowances and reconciliation of Gross To Net balance sheet reserve accounts. The analyst will work with a wide range of staff levels and departments including Finance (i.e. General Accounting and FP&A), Rebate Administration, Credit & Collections, Sales & Marketing, and Internal Audit.
All incumbents are responsible for following applicable Division & Company policies and procedures.
Scope of Authority - span of control (work unit, site, department, division, etc.), monetary value of budget/spend authority ( capital, operating, etc.), P&L responsibility, etc.

% of Time
US GAAP Accounting and Reporting
§ Assist with the accounting for sales allowances (i.e. returns, rebates, chargebacks, price adjustments, etc.).
§ Participate in various monthly closing activities (i.e. preparation of financial analysis, journal entries, etc).
§ Ensure balance sheet reconciliations for GTN reserve accounts are easily understood by management and auditors.
§ Responsible for GTN product allocation process.
§ Participate in improvement and automation of Gross to Net accounting process.
§ Recommend & develop analytical tools to verify reserve balances.
§ Ensure that the Company’s internal controls related to AR reserves are adhered (including 100% SOX compliance).
§ Provide support during all internal and external audits.
§ Work on special and ad hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience
Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience and certifications required for the job
§ BA/BS in finance/accounting, or equivalent experience.
§ 3 to 5years in a accounting or finance role or a public accounting firm.
§ Pharmaceutical Industry experience or Gross to Net experience preferred.
§ CPA or Accounting MBA preferred.
Proficiency in a body of information required for the job
e.g. knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, etc.
§ Strong knowledge of accounting theory.
Often referred to as “competencies”, leadership attributes, skills, abilities or behaviors that may be enterprise, functional or job specific e.g. coaching, negotiation, calibration, technical writing etc.
§ Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products and financial accounting systems (JD Edwards, Hyperion Essbase).
§ Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
§ Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
§ Must be detail oriented.
§ Must possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical & mental requirements e.g. lift 40 pounds, walk across plant/warehouse, business travel (% of time), driving as part of work responsibilities, etc.
§ General office environment.
