Revenue & Gross-to-Net Analyst
Job Summary - a concise overview of the job
This position will support the Revenue Reporting and Gross-to-Net accounting area. Responsible for the preparation and distribution of monthly sales & margin reports, including support during the monthly close process in calculating and analyzing gross-to-net by product and determining product profitability. This position will work with a wide range of staff levels and departments including Finance (i.e. General Accounting and Trade Finance), FP&A and Sales & Marketing.
All incumbents are responsible for following applicable Division & Company policies and procedures.

Analytics and Reporting
§ Prepare AR reserve work papers. Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Investigate and resolve any open items.
§ Participate in various monthly closing activities (i.e. preparation of financial analysis, journal entries, etc.).
§ Understand and assess impact of adjustments to sales allowance reserves that will impact revenues. This includes external impacts such as changes in competitive landscape or shifts in customers buying patterns.
§ Assist in preparation of additional analytics to ensure that gross-to-net accounting is accurate.
Policies and Procedures
§ Monitor and ensure compliance of company policies and procedures related to revenue recognition.
§ Provide support during all internal and external audits.
§ Work on special and ad hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience
Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience and certifications required for the job
§ BA/BS in finance/accounting or equivalent experience.
§ CPA or MBA preferred.
§ 3 or more years in a general accounting or finance role or a public accounting firm.
§ Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus.
Proficiency in a body of information required for the job
e.g. knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, etc.
§ Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite.
§ Knowledge of financial accounting systems (JD Edwards, Hyperion Essbase).
