Job Summary - a concise overview of the job

In accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Operating Procedures prepares batch documentation, checks, compiles and completes documentation for department approval of each batch of product that requires manual inspection.

 

All incumbents are responsible for following applicable Division & Company policies and procedures.

Scope of Authority - span of control (work unit, site, department, division, etc.), monetary value of budget/spend authority ( capital, operating, etc.), P&L responsibility, etc.

Sampling

  • Establishes sampling frequency to ensure even sampling across the batch and pulls samples

Inspection

  • Is the knowledgeable person for inspection questions by SMOs
  • Prepares all paperwork required to begin inspection operations

Compliance

  • Performs all functions in accordance with cGMP and corporate regulations
  • Assists department supervisor in ensuring compliance with cGMP's and operating procedures

Documentation

  • Proactively communicates with supervisor correcting documentation deficiencies and expediting the corrective process
  • Reconciles and completes documentation for returned materials
  • Closes out Inspection Forms for batch cards on a timely basis to ensure department delivery goals

  • Assists in training of new colleagues on job

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience and certifications required for the job

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Successful completion of certified in-house qualification programs
  • Willingness to continue on-going training as required by departmental goals and objectives

Knowledge

Proficiency in a body of information required for the job 

e.g. knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, etc.

Physical Requirements
