The Opportunity:

We are seeking a well‑rounded Systems Administrator with a strong foundation in Windows systems administration, general Systems Operations, and information security best practices. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable IT systems across on‑premises and/or cloud environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing multiple hats, troubleshooting complex issues, and partnering with security teams to protect enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Administration
  • Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print services)
  • Manage day‑to‑day system operations, including patching, monitoring, backups, and performance tuning
  • Deploy and maintain standard operating system builds and system configurations
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management
  • Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for client, server, and infrastructure issues
Security & Compliance
  • Apply security hardening and baseline configurations aligned with best practices
  • Manage identity and access controls (AD, RBAC, least‑privilege access)
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation, patch management, EDR management, and audit readiness
  • Monitor systems for security events and participate in incident response
  • Collaborate with InfoSec stakeholders to enforce policies and compliance requirements
Automation & Improvement
  • Use scripting and automation to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Maintain documentation for systems, standards, and procedures
  • Identify operational risks and recommend improvements to availability, security, and scalability
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration or sysops roles
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory environments
  • Working knowledge of information security principles (hardening, access control, patching, incident response)
  • Familiarity with monitoring, patch management, EDR, and other endpoint management tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across systems, networking, and security layers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Experience supporting compliance or security frameworks (e.g. PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 270001, SOC 2)
  • Prior experience partnering closely with InfoSec or Security Operations teams

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a production environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
