The Opportunity:
The eCommerce Manager will be a part of a team pioneering grocery eCommerce in Canada and will lead all efforts across www.mmfoodmarket.com and www.lesalimentsmm.com. You’ll focus on driving your team and external vendors to improve site conversion, increase average order value, provide a personalized user experience, and increase accessibility to M&M Food Market product through a variety of fulfillment channels. You’ll build onto an existing omni-channel approach that serves customers primarily through brick-and-mortar retail locations with pickup, curbside, and delivery options.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the end-to-end operations of the e-commerce business.
- Establishes strategic objectives by gathering business, operations, financial, vendor, and industry information.
- Defines objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evaluates outcomes.
- Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff and vendors, forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Ensures the brand is well represented across all eCommerce properties by managing content updates.
- Generates data-driven market insights and manages relationships with partners.
- Collaborates with Marketing team to increase awareness of eCommerce programs and web traffic.
- Maintains the technology roadmap, in coordination with an external website development agency, providing prioritization of tasks, activities, and projects to staff and vendors.
- Optimizes conversion through A/B testing, in coordination with external vendor and technology tools.
- Communicates with other departments and store network regarding eCommerce programs and efforts.
- Responds to urgent issues in a timely manner by communicating to other departments, store network, and customers.
- Collaborates with Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, and other departments in to support a variety of business needs.
- Manage relationships with a variety of third-party fulfillment vendors.
- Provide support to other Marketing areas as required, including Loyalty and Brand Marketing.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience working in a marketing or creative role
- Experience managing people and vendors
- University or college degree
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office application suite is expected (particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Proficiency with Google Analytics
- Experience in retail or CPG customer exposure is a requirement
- Experience in the food industry is considered an asset.
This position is hybrid work (minimum 2 days per week in office).
