The Opportunity:

This position supports the Supply & Trading groups in managing multiple aspects of the supply chain, including allocation planning, transportation and distribution strategy, site setups, and supply chain communications. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver with the ability to analyze the current supply network and identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze supply chain trends across approximately 250 terminals and manage customer-level allocations while communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a conduit between key organizational partners in Scheduling, Pricing, Transportation, and Sales to implement supply strategies.
  • Maintain Excel-based tracking tools used by the Supply Optimization group and internal customers on a daily basis to monitor volumes and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve or escalate customer loading issues across Sunoco's supply network to optimize sales and margin.
  • Understand supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop plans to mitigate them, including changing market conditions, pipeline maintenance, and severe weather.
  • Actively communicate supply disruptions or allocation adjustments to customers across the Sunoco geography.
  • Handle the setup and removal of carriers, products, and terminals for customers as their business with Sunoco expands or changes.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience requirements are commensurate with the selected job level:
    • Associate Specialist: 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience.
    • Specialist: 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience.
  • Ability to remotely monitor and respond to emails and phone calls on a rotating weekend schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • The schedule for this position may fall outside of regular business hours to ensure adequate and consistent operational coverage.
  • Self-starter who is motivated and proactive in setting direction and making recommendations.
  • Analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work requirements while managing tight and concurrent deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Highly resilient with a results-driven attitude.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
