The Opportunity:

Serve as the ThousandEyes specialist responsible for governing end-to-end visibility across user, branch, data center, WAN, internet, cloud, and SaaS service paths. 

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage enterprise, endpoint, cloud, and other applicable agents.
  • Design tests for SaaS applications, internet paths, DNS, routing, HTTP, network connectivity, and digital  experience. 
  • Map critical business-service paths and external dependencies. 
  • Establish test frequency, retention, alerting, coverage, and naming standards. 
  • Identify ISP, internet, cloud-provider, SaaS, DNS, BGP, WAN, and last-mile risks. 
  • Correlate ThousandEyes findings with SolarWinds infrastructure events. 
  • Distinguish internal failures from external-provider and internet-service degradation. 
  • Build executive and operational views of digital-service availability and user experience. 
  • Integrate ThousandEyes with ServiceNow, collaboration platforms, SolarWinds, and the EII analytical plane.
  • Support incident investigations with evidence of when, where, and how a service path degraded. 
  • Baseline critical applications, business locations, cloud services, and acquired-company environments. 
  • Optimize agent placement, test coverage, licensing, and data quality.

  • Internet and SaaS dependency views 
  • End-to-end service-path analysis 
  • Location and user-experience baselines 
  • External-provider performance evidence 
  • Coverage and data-quality scorecards 
  • M&A connectivity and digital-experience assessments 

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience administering Cisco ThousandEyes or a comparable digital experience monitoring  platform. 
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing, WAN, SD-WAN, HTTP, SaaS, cloud, and internet service  delivery. 
  • Experience deploying and managing enterprise, endpoint, and cloud agents and designing synthetic tests.
  • Ability to analyze end-to-end service paths, distinguish internal from external degradation, and support  incident investigations. 
  • Ability to communicate technical findings through operational and executive-level reporting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cisco ThousandEyes Enterprise Agents, Endpoint Agents, Cloud Agents, Internet Insights, and alerting.
  • Cisco networking, SD-WAN, network path analysis, synthetic monitoring, and digital experience monitoring.
  • ServiceNow, CMDB, SolarWinds, APIs, collaboration-platform integrations, and automation.
  • Azure, AWS, SaaS dependency mapping, AIOps concepts, and M&A environment baselining.
