The Opportunity: 
This safety sensitive position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and maintenance at the Owen Terminal. Duties of this position includes unloading railcars, moving and spotting railcars using rail moving equipment, and overseeing truck loading activities of LPG products at the terminal site.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Connect rail cars in any weather condition
  • Move and spot railcars throughout the site
  • Calculate correct gallons received in each railcar, by means of using dip tube and outage table
  • Take daily temperature, pressure and liquid level readings of the storage tanks and record
  • Properly complete associated truck and rail car Haz-Mat paperwork
  • Be available to work overtime as needed
  • Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment
  • Maintain all required certifications to perform operator duties as outlined in the D.O.T. regulations
  • Maintenance of facility. (i.e., paint, greasing pumps and unloading arms, lawn care, snow removal and other duties as required)
      

Education:

  • High school Diploma in an appropriate field
  • College courses in a program related to our industry; i.e. mechanics, industrial, chemicals, etc.

Requirements:

  • Previous mechanical and operational experience around hazardous materials considered an asset
  • Capable of working in extreme temperatures during the summer and winter months
  • General mechanical ability and knowledge of gas plants considered an asset
  • Capable of lifting/exerting 90 lbs. of force
  • Basic understanding of computer concepts and usage including MS Office Suite;
  • Well organized, self-motivated and safety oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Permanent residency within 60 miles of the facility is a condition of employment
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and independently
  • Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy is mandatory
