The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for supporting the IMAC (Install, Move, Add, and Change) process for Retail locations as it relates to Retail Technology Systems. The Technology Onboarding Specialist places orders for Sunoco’s Retail Technology network appliances/services, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and onsite deployment teams. Works with Operations and Support teams to monitor and improve vendor performance. The individual will be a subject matter expert and final escalation point in solving network appliance and service issues between Sunoco technical services and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Sales team on new services and feature availability
  • Communicate with internal teams to improve ordering processes.
  • Facilitates POS software support licensing with Sales team and POS vendors.
  • Manage and prioritize queue of issues with respective vendors.
  • Act as liaison to vendor technical staff for solving problems and implementing new solutions.
  • Consultant to business and other analysts on interoperability, brand support, etc.
  • Escalation point between Sunoco technical support personnel and technical project staff.
  • Monthly analysis of Retail Technology Communications budget.
  • Quarterly reconciliation of Communications and POS licensing expenses.
  • Works with internal teams to update Retailer agreements with new technology options.
  • Works with Procurement on vendor agreement renewals.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Engineering or related field, or, 2 years college and 5 years experience with C-store and fuel control systems

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of related job experience
  • Hands-on experience with installation, service and support of C-store POS and fuel control systems and related technology
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM
  • Proficient with all MS Office applications. 
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Organization, time management and prioritization
  • Requirements gathering, verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of electronic payment systems, and the retail petroleum convenience industry

Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • C-store POS service training certifications
  • Sunoco retail technologies including POS and communication system
  • C-store management experience and accounting practices
  • Familiarity with SDLC
