The Opportunity:
The Sourcing Specialist – Retail Fuel Distribution is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to reduce costs and deliver stakeholder value, with primary focus on our Technical Services business area. Experience with construction, maintenance, PMO, MRO, OEM equipment, spare parts, or other technical related fields is a plus. The successful candidate should have experience participating in sourcing events and category analysis. Experience in the fuel/midstream/energy space is also desired. The scope of the position will include leading the preparation and execution of sourcing processes, contract & supplier management, stakeholder engagement and value creation.
Responsibilities:
- Generate analysis, development and implementation of cost savings initiatives.
- Provide analysis and research to determine sourcing activities.
- Coordinate, assist, and/or lead negotiations, contract development, contract implementation, and supplier contract compliance.
- Work with appropriate stakeholder teams as needed on identified areas of opportunity.
- Quantify and model financial savings related to opportunity.
- Prepare for and participate in ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levels.
- Solicit advice from manager regarding procurement processes and protocol and apply appropriate solutions to issues for stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert as needed to support operations and ensure purchasing process is carried out appropriately.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, or technical discipline
Requirements:
- Customer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
- Ability to structure and manage multiple priorities.
- Service-oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure client satisfaction.
- Ability to think strategically, conceptually and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations.
- Years of work experience: 3 – 7 years of experience.
- Data analytics, sourcing, procurement systems, and customer service.
- Business software applications: Microsoft Office, Agiloft/other contract management software, and SAP/other purchasing software.
