Job Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the hygienic and safe preparation of food in assigned food production areas
  • To ensure a five star product is achieved at all times
  • To demonstrate a proactive approach towards learning and development
  • To be aware of food and beverage financial budgets and goals.
  • To ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste before and during food preparation
  • To ensure that all kitchen equipment is used safely, correctly and is well maintained
  • To promptly report any hazards or unsafe working conditions to supervisor
  • To ensure all relevant buffet / display set-ups are prepared ahead of guest’s arrival and in adherence with hotel standards
  • Any other suitable tasks as and when assigned by Demi Chef / Chef De-Partie
Job Requirements:
  • Creativity and knowledge of food products, modern trends and techniques
  • Positive attitude and willing to learn
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Can work with minimum supervision and at times independently, as well as under pressure
