Description
Paragon Industries is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to be a part of our pipe mill operations. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment within the mill is maintained according to the OEM’s standards and company policies and procedures in a condition of operating excellence so that full process use is maintained at all times. This person will also work with all phases of maintenance related duties and mill operations.

Paragon Industries, Inc. has been manufacturing high-quality steel pipe for over 40 years. Our business has evolved into a diverse product line, which includes pipe for the Mechanical, Fire Protection, Line, OCTG, and Construction applications.
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, steel-toed work boots, hearing protection, and hardhats.
- Qualifications:
- Welding: Trade school or minimum 1-year verifiable experience preferred
- Maintenance: 1 year Preferred
- Electrical experience a plus
- Know fundamentals of cutting, welding, and fabrication fit up
- Know safety procedures pertaining to cutting and welding
- Able to lift and carry 60 lbs. 200 ft.
- Able to work from blueprints and or sketches with limited assistance
- Experience in Pipe Mill operations and maintenance is preferred.
- Responsibilities:
- Performs cutting, fitting, and welding of metal components, including plate, structural steel, and pipe.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic equipment.
- Install, start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements for machine activation and shutdown.
