Accountant
Description
An accountant with Paragon will prepare advanced level of various financial activities. They will analyze their effect on company finances and accounting procedures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in an accounting role, manufacturing accounting experience a plus
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year-end close process, AP, AR, and inventory
- Extensive Excel knowledge
- Detailed-oriented with complete follow through
- List of at least three (3) work related references
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and prepare studies and recommendations in areas related to finance, billing, accounting, and capital expenditures.
- Direct and/or assist employees compiling, verifying, and preparing a variety of financial information including but not limited to:
- Forecasted versus actual expenses
- Financial reports
- Quarterly income statements
- Billing Revenues
- Combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
- Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
