The Shipping Clerk shall assist and coordinate with the manager or leader in the shipping department. The Shipping Department is an integral component that shall focus on scheduling and transporting product as well as acquiring the necessary resources to comply with the customer’s requirements. This position is the focal point of product and delivery processes relating to pipe products for the customer. Working conditions are of a professional office environment. Work involves administrative and clerical detail. This position needs to be flexible in working hours and able to work early mornings or late nights. 

  1. Qualifications:
    • A High School diploma or GED equivalent and with experience in shipping, logistics or supply chain activities.
    • Exceptional reading, writing of English as well as solid arithmetic and Computer skills.
    • Ability to organize vast amounts of data and multi-task several priorities with excellent time management.
    • Capable of working MS Office suite, especially Excel, as well as the ability to grasp an ERP System.
    • Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
  1. Responsibilities:
    • Assist the Product Leader on the day to day duties and operation of the department.
    • Communicate with Product Leader on the daily goals and any changes that may be taking place that day.
    • Communicate with all other departments as directed.
    • Performs all clerical and shipping duties as directed by the Shipping Manager.
    • Completes all required shipping documents as required by company policy.
    • Ensure that all work is performed is in conformance with the goal of customer satisfaction at all times.
    • Any other duties as directed.
