About the Role |
As part of the finance organization, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is an agency-wide program that enables the proactive identification and management of business risks and strategic risks with the goal of improving overall business performance. ERM is a major strategic initiative involving every department in the Port Authority. |
Responsibilities |
- Support ERM Steering Committee (All agency Executives) to identify and address enterprise risks
- Partner with stakeholders throughout the agency to advance the implementation of long-term business strategies
- Collaborate with COO, Planning Department, and Management and Budget Department staff to support ERM integration with annual business and budget planning processes
- Facilitate the identification and assessment of risks throughout the organization; Analyze risk data based on risk management principles
- Develop risk intelligence reports and presentations for the Board of Commissioners, the Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, the ERM Steering Committee, and senior management
- Establish strong working relationships with staff throughout the agency to identify, assess, and monitor sources of risk and mitigation activities in every department
- Develop expertise in the ERM
- Manage ERM software, conduct one-on-one and group training sessions for department/facility staff
- Propose improvements to the current ERM process
- Increase agency risk awareness
- Develop subject matter expertise through extensive research and benchmarking
- Maintain keen awareness of internal and external contexts in order to identify emerging risks

Minimum Qualifications |
- Master's degree from an accredited university in Enterprise Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science
- Two years of work experience in enterprise risk management, finance, public administration, strategy, audit, communications, operations or other related field
