Talent Acquisition Operations Lead (Contract)

About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Operations Lead (Contract) plays a key role in the day-to-day success of the Talent Acquisition Operations function by helping ensure recruiting systems, operational processes, reporting, and analytics support an efficient, consistent, and high-quality hiring experience. This role serves as a primary operational resource for recruiters, recruiting coordinators, hiring managers, and Human Capital stakeholders, providing day-to-day guidance, troubleshooting operational issues, maintaining recruiting technology, and supporting process improvements. The ideal candidate is a strong Talent Acquisition Operations professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and partnering with others to deliver an exceptional recruiting experience. This role is anticipated to be a long term contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Help oversee the day-to-day operation of Talent Acquisition Operations, ensuring recruiting processes are executed consistently and effectively.
  • Serve as a primary operational resource for recruiters and Talent Acquisition stakeholders by resolving questions, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating operational support.
  • Administer recruiting systems and technologies, including user access, system configuration, issue resolution, testing, and coordination with internal technology teams and vendors as needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze Talent Acquisition reports and dashboards to support operational decision-making and measure recruiting performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, documentation, and system utilization while supporting implementation of approved enhancements.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials, and operational documentation that promote consistency across the recruiting function.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and operational support to Talent Acquisition Coordinators, helping prioritize work and promote consistent service delivery.
  • Build collaborative relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, HR partners, and other stakeholders to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  • Participate in operational initiatives and special projects that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of the Talent Acquisition function.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Talent Acquisition Operations, Recruiting Coordination, HR Operations, or a related operational function.
  • Experience administering an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), CRM, or other recruiting technologies.
  • Experience supporting recruiting systems, analyzing data, troubleshooting operational issues, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting recruiting systems, analyzing data, troubleshooting operational issues, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience developing recruiting reports, dashboards, or operational metrics using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience creating process documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Experience mentoring colleagues, serving as a subject matter expert, or coordinating operational work across a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service, continuous improvement, and building efficient, scalable operational processes.

Selection Process

Compensation, Benefits & On-Site Collaboration Requirements

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey anticipates that the actual salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on aspects such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal factors. 

This is a contract position with an expected hourly range between $44 - $57 per hour.

In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits employees to work remotely a maximum of one day per week, subject to operational and business needs.
