Responsible for the provision of the overall administration, operation, direction, design, financial performance, human resource management, regulatory compliance, quality, utilization management, marketing, integration and evaluation of inpatient and outpatient wound care within the area of responsibility. Provides a Business Plan, which ensures a strategy and vision for these services that support the PPH Strategic Plan. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all aspects of care/services delivered; insuring quality programs, patient safety and a level of customer service that strives to exceed internal and external customer expectations; develops strong relationships with primary customers. Practices excellent employee relations and attention to employee needs. Develops and mentors a high performing management team for all areas of responsibility. Ensures financial viability by managing both applicable revenue and expenses with attention to supply cost utilization and a high level of productivity in cost centers under direct control. Cultivates productive and empowered team relationships, strategically plans and manages talent, translates organizational strategy into operational tactics, anticipates future trends using information from Customer/Patients, communities and industry.
Understands and adheres to the California Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, the ANA Bill of Rights for Registered Nurses, and the ANA Scope and Standards for Nurse Administrators. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows PPH rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of PPH.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field; Master's Degree within 3 years from date of hire
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field
Minimum Experience: 5 years wound care or related experience; 3 years most recent leadership experience; experience leading hospital service lines
Preferred Experience: 5+ years wound care or related experience; 3+ years most recent leadership experience; extensive experience leading hospital service lines; experience leading multiple sites
Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Heartsaver
Preferred Certification: Current certification through the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Certification Board (WOCNCB) as either a Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse
Required License: Valid Driver's License
