Description
The Vehicle Fleet and Biomed Equipment Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Vehicle Fleet Management program, and direct support of medical equipment (Palomar Health owned, and Rental Equipment) tracking and utilization for Biomedical Services.
Under the direct supervision, the Vehicle Fleet and Biomed Equipment responsibilities include but are not limited to: documenting routine and ad hoc maintenance of fleet vehicles; monitoring and maintaining documentation of all aspects of the Palomar Health fleet program. Coordinates medical equipment repairs and preventative maintenance with biomedical equipment technicians, vendors, and end users. Coordinates biomedical equipment rentals throughout the district, with a focus on reducing non-essential rental costs. Conducts regular rounding in clinical areas to validate rental utilization. Develops and maintains database of historical and current rental equipment and costs.
Assists the Director in evaluating and ensuring fleet operations are in compliance with local and state rules and regulations. Assists in preparing requisitions for fleet equipment. Performs in-service receipt, registration, and delivery of fleet equipment. Acts as liaison with manufacturer for warranty work and resolution of technical and safety issues.
Ability to speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience: Two years in logistics, transportation, healthcare technology, or customer service management
