Responsible for the supervision of day-to-day activities of the Patient Safety Representatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; time keeper and time card reconciliation and preparation of materials for department and facility meetings. Coordinates all staff and per diem Assignments/Schedules with Director. Provides training and competency evaluation of team members as it relates to specific job functions and responsibilities and assists with annual performance evaluations. Interacts frequently with clinical leaders and staff and attends facility specific and/or district meetings as is necessary or directed by their direct manager. Responsible for supervising Patient Safety Representative to ensure they are providing close and/or continuous visual and tactile observation of patients who may be at risk for adverse events such as falls, self-injury or harm to others. The Supervisor is accountable to their direct manager. The Supervisor will participate as a team member to ensure appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Must speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. |Minimum Experience: ||3 years as a healthcare provider at an acute care hospital and at least 1 year in a lead position. At least 2 years' experience with building and maintaining staff schedules.|
