Description
Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Women�s Service, the Program Assistant provides administrative and technical support to ultrasound services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: maintain documentation and records to meet regulatory requirements set forth by the Mammography Quality Standards Act, FDA, State of California and the American College of Radiology, thereby supporting the licensure and accreditation of the Mammography department. Prepares statistical reports and documents, manages databases for required reports (MQSA, Management review), and coordinates the flow of imaging studies/films within the department including the tracking and documentation of outside films in Cerner RadNet to insure their availability for comparison readings and their return to appropriate providers once procedures are completed. Serves as the GE workstation administrator. Answers phones, takes and delivers accurate messages, assists patients as needed and maintains inventory of clinical supplies. Follows up on physician requests for information. Keeps Manager informed of operational issues. Assists in the transportation of patients as directed.

Ability to speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience
Preferred Education: Advanced training in administration or business management
Minimum Experience: 2 - 3 years related
Preferred Experience: 3 - 5 years related
