Responsible for ordering, receiving, distributing and stocking linen, scrubs and uniforms. Adheres to established standards and procedures, QA program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Organizes and cleans linen room, dust and damp mop floors, damp wipes surfaces, collect trash and soiled linen. Collect trash and soiled linen from dining room. Cleans dining room and servery. Collect, wash and distribute resident clothing and bibs to established schedule and predetermined locations. Responsible for labeling residents clothing. Set up exchange carts to established par level. Fill item cart for delivery to ancillary areas. Distribute linen to ancillary areas to established par levels. Accurately records distribution totals to Daily Delivery Work Sheets. Separate and deliver scrubs to established users. Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies to meet department needs. Responsible for utilizing appropriate work practices commensurate with the environment of work to include working with neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, mature adults and psychiatric care patients. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.
