Palomar Health is looking for a Lead Addition Counselor to join their Recovery Center Team on a Full-time basis!

As a member of the Hazelden Betty Ford Provider Care Network, the Palomar Health Recovery Center at Poway provides personalized treatment options to adults who are suffering from chemical dependency. Our personalized approach to care coupled with access to Betty Ford treatment resources allows our team to create a successful path to recovery for any patient.
Our program is specifically designed for anyone over age 18 who is struggling with addiction to alcohol or other drugs and needs additional support to create a healthy lifestyle at home. The program’s overall goal is to reduce patients' symptoms and improve their health and ability to function in social, professional and personal settings to lead a safe and productive independent life.

Location: Tucked away in beautiful Poway valley on the northern outskirts of the city of San Diego lies the Palomar Medical Center-Poway (about 30 minutes north of San Diego) owned and operated by Palomar Health.  Conveniently located in the heart of San Diego County, Poway enjoys a sunny climate, clean air, a pristine lake and ecological reserves. Shift: 8/Hour- Day Shift

Minimum Education:  Master's Degree in Behavioral Health related field

Minimum Experience: 3 years related medical social work and Behavioral Health related field

Required Certification:  Crisis Prevention (CPI) within 6 months of hire
5150 designation and certification by Palomar Health Behavioral Health Services and San Diego County Mental Health to place patients on involuntary holds and maintains all aspects of ensuring patient rights within 6 months of hire

Required License: Current CA License in Social Work (LCSW), Clinical Psychology (Ph.D.), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS-MH)
