Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures provides dispatch services to staff and managers of Environmental Services. Organize and maintain the Teletracking bed board to ensure the proper order and keep the overall throughput of the entire hospital in line with strategic goals on weekends. Keep in constant communication with the house managers, charge nurses, and unit clerks to keep track of room priority. Use critical thinking to dispatch department resources to specific areas of the hospital that require more attention. Take all incoming calls for requests, complaints, concerns, and dispatch the appropriate staff member. Address staffing needs by reassigning staff, or split areas as needed at the beginning of shifts and throughout that shift as needed. Supporting staff on all areas of work requirements such as cleaning process, equipment requirements, specialized cleaning. Run Teletracking productivity reports monthly and yearly. Perform room audits as needed. Support the department by supplementing efforts to obtain additional staffing if needed. Run daily huddles as needed to communicate necessary information to current staff. Train all levels of staff as needed on the Teletracking bed board. Must use multiple forms of communication tools daily (emergency pager, phone, Sysco). Collect and report out data during the 8:30 A.M huddle. Assist with employee appreciation events. Assume charge responsibilities as needed.
