Supervise the NCAs to ensure that patients are served the appropriate diet/nutrition in a timely manner. Responsible for the data entry and accuracy of the menu software for the patient menus, recipes and spread sheets. Conducts and monitors all performance improvement projects associated with room service including, but not limited to, patient service recovery. Oversees staff training, development, coaching, education, and discipline. Responsible for sanitation standards and requirements. Ensures ongoing regulatory readiness of the staff and service. Ensures food service areas are maintained, clean, orderly, and consistent. Supervisor assigned area quality, timeliness, staffing issues, facilitate in-services/meetings, round with patients, audit, update the room service and system as required and special projects assigned by manager. Ability to learn new software programs. Able to add/delete ingredients and update room service menus. Data entry related to current menu, proposed changes, coordinate special menus & holiday features. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.
